ENF TM General Information
• ENF are special aluminium coated sheets and coils for architectural applications, abbreviation from ΕΝergy Façade, material produced in ELVAL, Greece
• Solid pre-painted aluminium, in alloy 5754 (AlMg3). 5xxx series alloys provide higher anticorrosive properties compared to 3xxx series alloys.
• Top side surface coated with PVDF type of paint, thickness approximately 32μm and reverse side coated with transparent lacquer, thickness approximately 5μm.
• The top side surface is protected with black & white. UV resistant plastic film, thickness 75μm, with printed arrows, which show the direction of the paint application, to assist correct sheet orientation during final installation.
• Maximum width for sheets or coils is 1 550mm.
PVDF coatings are highly cross-linked paint systems which cure to an extremely weather resistant, easy to clean surface. ELVAL ENF TM facades are dirt-repellent and require very little maintenance. Minor dirt, if necessary, can be regularly cleaned, using warm water and neutral, environmentally friendly detergents.
ELVAL ENF TM facades can be easily bent in any shape by the fabricator.
Non Combustible – Solid Pre-painted Aluminium
The ELVAL ENF TM aluminium sheet is non combustible and completely in line with international fire protection regulations for building and construction materials.
The non combustible ELVAL ENF TM is necessary in fire escape staircases as well as in other areas, that could possibly turn into a trap, in case of fire.
For this reason the use of ELVAL ENF TM is recommended in airports, shopping malls, public transport facilities (metro or railway stations), schools, hospitals, etc and especially high rise buildings, which should not be covered by smoke, in case of fire, in order to facilitate prompt and safe evacuation.
Curtain aluminium composite panels may come close to the fire resistance properties of the solid ELVAL ENF TM aluminium sheets but at very high cost. In construction projects, where composite panel is choosen, ELVAL ENF TM the selectively may be recommended to cover at reasonable cost, critical areas, were strict fire resistance regulation are needed.
