New production line, unique for Bulgaria

A new extrusion line 25MN-27MN was started up in Steelemt SA- Sofia at the end of 2010. The press is manufactured by the leading in the industry German Company SMS Group and it has a capacity of 11 000 tons per year. The characteristics of the press: front loading, 1300 mm billet length, short- stroke, billets of 8” and 9”, provide us an opportunity to diversify the product range as complexity, geometry and Alloys. In addition, the equipment is automated, from the highest class, which will lead to minimization of human errors, and higher quality of the production.
Mr. Ivan Ivanov, the Production Director commented: “The main reason for choosing supplier is to have a machine, which is capable of producing profiles with ever higher quality, in compliance with the constantly increasing requirements of the European market”.
An investment of such scale during crisis strengthens Steelmet leading role as a producer of Aluminium profiles on the Bulgarian and International market.
