Extrusion
ETEM Bulgaria has 3 extrusion lines with installed capacity of 20 000 tons/year.
Extrusion is a deformation process, used to produce long, straight, semi finished aluminum products like as bars, solid and hollow sections, tubes wires and stripes. The basic principal of the process in brief is that about 480C hot cylindrical aluminum billet under high pressure is squeezed from a closed container through a die. Cross sections of varying complexity can be extruded, depending on the material and the dies used.
